Landmark Builders offers general construction, design/build services, construction management and upfit/renovation services throughout the Carolinas, Georgia, and Virginia. Our primary markets include industrial, distribution, office, retail, private schools, healthcare, hospitality and senior living construction.

Broad classification including but not limited to the duties associated with a journeymen performing work as a carpenter, ironworker, general laborer, and concrete finisher. Required activities and conditions would include but not be limited to the following:

• Standing on a hard surface for long Durations
• Worming on uneven surfaces
• Kneeling on hard and/or uneven surfaces
• Lifting loads possibly exceeding 100 lbs. such as bagged materials, rebar, steel, personnel doors, dimensional lumber, etc.
• Repetitive lifting
•  Repetitive motions, especially with the upper body; such as using a hammer or finishing concrete with a hand trowel
• Bending from the waist while applying pressure to your back, such as raking and shoveling stone or concrete
• Climbing ladders and stairs numerous times
• Exposure to hot and cold environments
• Working with your hands and upper arms extended above your head
• Operating hand tools such as hammer drills, quickie saws, power washers, screw guns, circular saws, nail guns, etc
• Operating equipment such as a bobcat, lull, smooth drum roller, jumping jack, etc.
• Working on elevated surfaces such as structural steel, floor decking, roof decking (both horizontal and sloped), etc.

 GENERAL DUTIES / WORK ACTIVITIES

• Foundations: clean bottom of footing, monitor elevations, tie rebar, set anchor bolts, place concrete, etc.
• Hand excavation in certain conditions
• Slab on Grade Preparation: fine grade, place stone, fine grade stone, build column isolations, edge forms, place mesh / rebar, install poly, etc.
• Slab on Metal deck Preparation: clean deck, place mesh / rebar, install fall protection, etc.
• Slab Protection: place concrete blankets, cover with other protective materials
• General clean up
• Wood blocking
• Wood nailers
• Hollow metal frames
• Door hardware
• Toilet partitions
• Set structural steel
• Place concrete for: sidewalks, dock leveler bases, equipment pads, piers, etc.
• Install flashing
• Install misc. safety devices / rails
• Pump water from foundations, building pads, parking lots, etc.
• Clean mud from foundations, mud mats, etc.
• Unload various building materials
• Operate equipment—Lulls, uniloaders, lifts, etc. NOTE: Must have an operator's card for designated equipment.
• Work in lay down yard performing general clean up and organizing materials.
• Demolition as dictated by Landmarks scope of work
• The use of hammer drills for installing dowels, expansion bolts, light demo, etc.
• Concrete demo using a jackhammer
• Using a quickie saw: cutting rebar, misc. steel, concrete, block, etc.
• Assisting subcontractors with their scope of work
